Get to know Bonn’s historic city centre, founded by the Romans, a centre of Baroque, and Beethoven’s city. See the luxurious Baroque buildings, Beethoven’s birthplace, the Muenster and one of Bonn’s best areas by the gate to the romantic Rhine Valley and the view of the nearby Siebengebirge mountains.

In the old days, a night guard walked the cities of Bonn at night and sang a song every hour during times of danger and unrest to let the citizens know he was protecting the city. The night guard returns for this tour and guides you through the city that nobody knows better than he does. See the city’s 2000-year history, learn about wars, pests, witch hunts, and the executioners that left their marks from the Middle Ages to today. Fascinating, spooky, and a great way to discover the city.

The house in Bonn where Ludwig van Beethoven was born is a world-renowned museum today and a destination for visitors from all over the globe. The museum houses one of the largest Beethoven collections worldwide. Authentic artifacts and documents from Beethoven’s life and work connect the visitor to the genius musician in a new way.

The motto of the museum – and the premise of this tour: Gaining knowledge can be fun if the information is delivered in a way that matters to a person’s life. About 100 contemporary masterpieces of science and technology are presented here, among them many Nobel-prize-winning studies. The tour also covers current developments in research and science and consequences for people and society. If the group wishes to address any specific issues, the tour can be customised accordingly.

A lively exhibit of Germany’s history from 1945 and the end of WW2 to the present – shown in a global context. The permanent collection includes topics like: effects of globalisation on everyday life, the worklife of Germans, military action abroad, and the living conditions of immigrants. Individual accounts and personal stories are woven into the exhibit, making it more accessible and conveying the human emotions around historical events. Highlights include: an original movie screen and ice cream parlour from the 1950s, a Volkswagen ‘Hippie Bulli’, and many other memorabilia and artifacts from social and political events. The building’s basement is the actual basement of a Roman worker from the 2nd century, and an animated movie takes you on flight across Bonn during Roman times.

A climbing experience focusing on physical and mental strength. Designed to build team spirit, endurance, and grit. Rafting along one of the most beautiful and mystical parts of the Rhine River. The tour starts at the historic bridge “Erpeler Ley” about 14 kilometres upstream of Königswinter – and the feet of the bridge at 190 metres high still look majestic today. The area includes the Siebengebirge Mountains and the Drachenfels Ruins (dragon rock), the entrance to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This theater has its own kind of magic. It’s in a fascinating location, right on the Rhine River, and its architecture is extraordinary. The curved façade gives you an idea of the spectacular interior, where creativity lives on more than 3000 square meters!

A beautiful scenic trip by boat and train. A boat from the popular KD fleet takes you from Bonn to Königswinter on the Rhine River and back again later. In between you take the tram up to the Drachenfels Mountain (Dragon’s Rock), for stunning views.
