Day 1: Torch Tour through Bonn’s Old Town – Guided Tour
In the old days, a night guard walked the cities of Bonn at night and sang a song every hour during times of danger. The night guard returns for this tour and you'll see the hidden streets of Bonn, visit the sites of the city’s 2,000-year history, and learn about the wars, pests, witch hunts, and executioners that left their marks from the Middle Ages to today.
Morning: Ways to Democracy – Guided Tour
Bonn is where democracy in Germany was conceived after World War II. This tour route goes through the city’s former parliament and government area where much of the process developed. Stops are the House of Parliament and its assembly rooms, the Federal Council, the Villa Hammerschmidt, and the Palace Schaumburg.
Afternoon: Climbing Gym – ‘Snake Climbing’
A climbing experience focusing on physical and mental strength. Designed to build team spirit, endurance, and grit. The group is divided into teams, and with speed, skill, strategy and resourcefulness, each tries to collect the highest score. In the end, everyone wins, as suspense, fun, and more group cohesiveness are guaranteed.
Day 3: Breakfast and Departure
Optional: You may add more nights and more or different activities as needed! Price Special is available from January 1 – December 31, 2017. Programme also available on weekends (Friday - Sunday) for an additional fee. DJH Hostel Bonn is well connected to local transportation. Upon request, we can refer a reliable coach company for your transfers.

On the evening of the arrival day, the programme begins with a torch tour through Bonn’s Old Town . The morning of the next day is spent on “The Path to Democracy” – a guided tour to key sites of the development of democracy in Germany -- followed by a visit to Bonn’s ‘Haus der Geschichte’ - a lively exhibit of Germany’s history from 1945 and the end of WW2 to the present . The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the city.
4-day programme - starting at 139 Euro*
The motto of the day is “science and technology up close and exciting”. A visit to the Deutsche Museum in Bonn is anything but boring, and a combined workshop in physics or chemistry completes a day of learning in a fun way. The afternoon is free to explore the city.
5-day programme - starting at 189 Euro*
The final day brings a beautiful scenic trip by boat and train. A boat from the popular KD fleet takes your group from Bonn to Koenigswinter on the Rhine River and back again later, and in between you take the tram up to the Drachenfels Mountain (Dragon’s Rock) for stunning views.
